Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Cinderpoint Systems LLC (Rusthorn™), the developer and publisher of DOMFC: Director of Management Football Club, based in the United States. When this policy says "we", "us", or "Rusthorn", it means Cinderpoint Systems LLC.

This policy covers the DOMFC website (this site) and, once released, the DOMFC game itself. It was last reviewed in 2026. If you have questions, contact us at privacy@rusthorn.com.

2. What We Collect

We only collect what we need.

On this website:

• Email address. Only if you choose to sign up for launch notifications via our newsletter form. Providing your email is entirely optional.
• Basic analytics. If we use an analytics service (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics), we may receive aggregate traffic data such as page views and approximate geographic region. This data is not linked to individuals and does not use cookies.

In the DOMFC game (once released):

• Steam data. The game integrates with Steam for achievements, cloud saves, and rich presence. Valve collects and processes this data under their own privacy policy. We do not receive personal Steam data directly.
• Save data. Your game saves are stored locally on your device and, if Steam Cloud is enabled, synced via Valve's infrastructure. We do not have access to your save files.
• Crash reports. If crash reporting is implemented in a future version, we will update this policy and make it opt-in before collecting anything.

We do not collect names, payment information, IP addresses, device identifiers, or any sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use It

• Your email address is used solely to notify you when DOMFC launches on Steam. We will not send you marketing campaigns, promotional newsletters, or share your address with any third party for their marketing purposes.
• Aggregate analytics (if used) help us understand how people find the site so we can improve it. No individual is identified.

We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or targeted advertising. We do not run ads on this site or in the game.

4. Third Parties

We may use the following third-party services:

• ConvertKit for newsletter email collection and delivery. Your email address and first name (if provided) are stored with ConvertKit to send you launch notifications. ConvertKit is contractually bound to keep your data confidential and not use it for their own marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email they send on our behalf.
• Cloudflare Pages for website hosting, CDN, and DNS. Cloudflare may process request data as part of delivering the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
• Valve / Steam for game distribution. Steam is an entirely separate platform with its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review it at steampowered.com.
• Google Fonts for web fonts on this site. Fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads. You can block this at the network level if preferred.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for commercial purposes. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not run any advertising on this site or in the game.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access. You can ask us what data we hold about you.
• Correction. You can ask us to fix inaccurate data.
• Deletion. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. To remove your email from our launch list, email privacy@rusthorn.com and we will delete it promptly.
• Withdrawal of consent. If you signed up to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
• Portability. You can ask for a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

These rights apply under CCPA (California), GDPR (EU), and similar legislation where applicable. To exercise any of them, contact privacy@rusthorn.com.

We aim to respond to all privacy requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

If we use Cloudflare analytics, it is configured to be cookieless. Your browser may store session data (such as your newsletter submission state) in localStorage to avoid showing you the signup form again after you have already submitted it. This is purely functional and is not shared with anyone.

The game itself does not use cookies.

7. Children

DOMFC is a management simulation aimed at adults and teenagers aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your email address to our newsletter form.

If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data to us, please contact privacy@rusthorn.com and we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game develops, for example when crash reporting or analytics are added. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We will not retroactively change how we use data already collected without notifying affected users first.
